2011 Season

PDSA members towed to Dallas Raceway Nov 12th for the First Annual Pro Door Slammers Season Finals.

The weather was awesome with the exception of gusting head winds.

Lane Britt of McGregor, Texas was first to test the track prep with a 4 foot high wheel stand in his Nova.

After unlimited test/tune, 13 members made the qualifying session.

Jesse put together .004 and .009 reactions in the late rounds earning the 2011 PDSA Season Finals Champion mug and Winners shirt.

Mac Sibley earned "2011 Racer of the Year"
Mac has given more to our sport than we will ever know.

Marcus Cervantes won closest to the "Perfect Run Club" with a .022 winning package in round 1

Welcome to the first annual Pro Door Slammer Association Season Finals!
Dallas Raceway, Saturday Nov. 12th.
Gates open: 11am
(Weather forecast must be Sunny and above 60 degrees)

Military Veterans with valid identification cards will be honored free entrance to pits.
Pit entry: $15. (age 12 and under free)
Test and tune tech card (1/4 mile prep): $10.
PDSA drivers presenting their 2011 membership card at the gate receive a free tech card.

1pm: PDSA Season Finals member race qualifying (lanes 1 and 2)
16 members are eligible for this Free entry race. Allen Tanner, William Walker, Jimmy Falkenbach, Jesse Cervantes, Mac Sibley, Richard Schmidt, Gary Faulkner, Lane Britt, David Toon, Doug Kahanek II, Vince Howell, Warren Wright, Wayne Pratt, Marcus Cervantes, Roger Hennen, LA Kahanek.

3 nonmembers, Ricky Sehon, Billy Rumbo and David Pedigo who ran with us during the 2011 season are eligible for entry if a 2011 PDSA membership is purchased. The current Season Finals balance of $3000. will be paid:

Winner $650.
RU $450.
Semi $200.
Qtrs $150.
8ths $100.

During eliminations the closest to the Ultimate Run Club (perfect run) wins $100.
(Racers can apply their winnings toward a 2012 membership fee of $100.)

After the Season Finals members race is completed, a $50. entry, 80% payback race will be offered to both members and non-members. PDSA rules will apply.

Season Finals race Nov 12, 2011 at Dallas Raceway to honor Veterans.

Thank all of you for voting on the proposed changes to our rules concerning non-members entering PDSA racing events. We did learn that replies from smart phones never arrived. 100% of our membership did vote excluding our President which only votes in case of a tie. The President and Treasurer have verified the voting and here is the results:
3 votes- Non-members may enter PDSA events without changes to entry fees and payouts. Non-members will not be eligible for PDSA event Sponsor benefits.
6 votes- Non-members may enter PDSA events without changes to entry fees and payouts. Non-members will be eligible for PDSA Sponsor benefits including:
     Event Sponsor contributions
     Winner’s shirt
     Ultimate Run Club
     Season Finals (only if PDSA membership is purchased prior to finals event)
4 votes- Non-members may not enter PDSA events.
The majority has spoken and the rules will be updated accordingly. Thank you for exercising your rights and bringing ideas to the PDSA Officers for membership voting.
Effective Aug 19, 2011 non-members can enter our events and observe the benefits of becoming a PDSA member. Non-member entries will increase event car counts benefiting payouts, the Ultimate Run Club and the Season Finals. The Season Finals is reserved only for PDSA members. Let your friends know about the PDSA and encourage their membership.
